WOW! Finally finished working on 🔎#・faq˖contents and 🧾#・faq˖all˖info˖here
It was a lot of work and tinkering, but I am super happy how it turned out!
I’m a systematic person. “A place for everything and everything in its place”, it’s a mantra for me. I like everything tidily organized.
So, very often my heart starts pulsing faster and my hands start sweating when I join a new discord server. Lots and lots of channels! You need to scroll the list for minutes to find what you want, it’s filled with redundant and superfluous channels.
I am aware most people really don’t care about that, but if I can do something about it, something to make navigation easier, and liking clean spaces as I do, I couldn’t ignore the opportunity to implement it myself.
From the start of this project, months ago when I founded this discord server, I was thinking about just one channel to store all important information. Instead of opening multiple channels, one for FAQ, one for minting info, links, rules, roles, roadmap etc etc, I thought it would be more efficient and clean to store it all under one place.
But it would make navigation harder, you would need to hunt your info among a sea of other stuff.
So I thought about an index system, a table of contents. Had to do my research on how to execute it, but it’s done. And it’s working wonderfully!
You can now easily go between Table of Contents and Information, and vice versa.
I am curious how people will use it, if it will be intuitive. For now, I am satisfied!
