Hey!
Today I would like to talk about whitelists and why we think it should be implemented at the Voodies drop.

At first, whitelist was just a measure to prevent gas wars. It evolved into something else, and now there are projects using it to hype and others are rewarding their supporters.

We want to follow the last path.

Obviously, it’s great to be a hyped project with people crazy cray trying to join your whitelist, but at some point, if there’s no proper management, it will lead to just a pump and dump scenery, where people won’t really care about the project, they just want a quick, secure way to flip and move on to the next thing.

We are aware of bots, fake accounts and so on. And we also don’t want people grinding and doing meaningless things to get whitelist spots. We have a few ideas that can benefit the project and people that truly want to support us. We will reward early birds, but we will focus on rewarding most of the spots to builders and active members. No, you won’t need to invite people or flood the text channels, this is toxic.

There will be a mix of objective and subjective parameters to give these spots. We want people to keep it fun and not a soul crushing task.

So, TLDR: we want to reward supporters with whitelist spots; we don’t want to create an whitelist culture because it hurts people and the project.

🖤
